i started hell week two weeks ago. on the second week i got in a bad habit of keeping my lower back spine arched. i dont know why problaby to see ahead underwater i guess.. then it got “tensed up” in a painful way. the more i swam the more it became painful. i try to swim in a straight posture then naturally id forget and go back to my form but it still hurts. i hear its a possibility im growing to fast. or in my opinion its to much pressure on my lower spine. then today at the end of my practice i had the feelling of when you have the flu, your middle back muscle are sore, well i had that soreness on my back. + i had a two day break and the lower spine “pain” was still there…… Idont know what to do… it bugs me because i cant train and get better!

p.s. i only get the pain when i swim continously, i noticed when i scrimmage (playing a practice game) it wasnt much painful probly cuz it wasnt continuoios swim..

I am 30 years old, and every once in a while I have some sort of joint pain “flare up” – almost always in my ankle, the top of my foot (not my big toe) or my knee.

It USUALLY lasts 3 days. It’s mildly annoying the first day, super painful the next day (so I can just barely walk) and then stiff and a little pain the third day. By the fourth day it usually just feels a little stiff with no pain.

Is this likely something like Gout or some other form of arthritis? I dont have other symptoms (that I am aware of, anyway…)

It sounds like Gout to me. As you’re so young, probably a change of diet will fix your problem. (Watch the seafood intake, especially shellfish) Also if you’re into body building, watch what you use to bulk up. Go to webmd.com and search gout for details.
